
H Project Performing Arts Association presents the Double Vision Youth Jazz Workshop + Jam Session, an interactive afternoon of listening, learning, and jam-session fun for young jazz musicians.Presented in partnership with Austin Jazz Society and hosted at Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches, this workshop features Double Vision Jazz Ensemble members Hank Hehmsoth, John Mills, Utah Hamrick, and Aaron Easley as house band and clinicians.Students will learn how a jazz jam session works, including listening, playing in a combo setting, interacting with a rhythm section, following musical forms, and building confidence in a supportive live-music environment. The event is especially designed for high school jazz students, young musicians, parents, educators, and members of Austin’s youth jazz community.Students are encouraged to bring their instruments.This project is supported in part by an Elevate Grant of Austin Arts, Culture, Music, & Entertainment.
