The Rosette
About the Venue

The Rosette at 3908 Avenue B in the Hyde Park area is a venue operated by Austin Classical Guitar, an arts nonprofit that has been serving the community for over thirty years. The name refers to the decorative mosaic design around the sound hole of a guitar, and that attention to detail carries through to the space itself. The room seats up to 85 guests across a main level and balcony, making it one of the most intimate performance spaces in the city. It is outfitted with advanced lighting and audio systems, livestream production and recording capabilities, and a cinema-quality projection screen. The programming centers on Austin Classical Guitar's own concert series, but the space also hosts live music of other genres, theater, comedy, lectures, receptions, and experimental art events. The small capacity and high production quality create an experience that is hard to find elsewhere in Austin, a room where you can hear every finger on every string and see every expression on the performer's face. The Rosette fills a gap for audiences who want a more focused, high-fidelity listening experience without the distractions of a bar environment. It is a purpose-built space for people who take music seriously, run by an organization that has been championing the guitar as an art form for three decades.
